Gaborone, the capital city of Botswana is a bustling modern city, located in the shadow of the Kgale and Oddi Hills in the south of Botswana. Even though it’s relatively small, Gaborone is seen as one of Southern Africa’s economic success stories.

The Botswana National Museum, also known as the National Museum and Art Gallery, is located in the Botswana capital of Gaborone and is a multi-disciplinary institution that includes the National Art Gallery and Octagon Gallery, as well as—since November 2007— the National Botanical Garden.
Gaborone Game Reserve opened in 1988, this urban game reserve includes observation hides, picnic areas & a visitor centre.
Kgale Hill is a hill located in Gaborone, Botswana. Nicknamed “The Sleeping Giant”, Kgale Hill reaches a summit elevation of 1,287 metres above sea level. The hill used to be home to a television repeater and is now a tourist destination.
The only theme park in the country, Lion Park Resort features a separate lion enclosure, water slides, and many rides, including the tallest roller coaster in Africa. If you came to see the lions, ask for a guide at the ticket counter. A small Ferris wheel offers an encompassing view of the whole park.
Mokolodi Nature Reserve is a private not-for-profit game reserve in southern Botswana. Founded in 1994 by The Mokolodi Wildlife Foundation, it is situated on 30 km sq. of donated land 10 km south of the capital Gaborone.
The Gaborone Dam is a dam on the Notwane River in Botswana with a capacity of 141,100,000 cubic metres. The dam is operated by the Water Utilities Corporation, and supplies water to the capital city of Gaborone.
The National Botanical Garden is a 7-hectare park located along the Notwane River 3 kilometres south-east of the city center of Gaborone. The National Botanical Garden first opened on 2 November 2007 with the purpose of protecting Botswana’s heritage.
The Three Dikgosi Monument is a bronze sculpture located in the Central Business District of Gaborone, Botswana. The statues depict three dikgosi: Khama III of the Bangwato, Sebele I of the Bakwena, and Bathoen I of the Bangwaketse.
